care Packages

We know that the purchasing of diapers, wipes, and formula can create financial stress for families. We believe that every family should have access to the basic resources needed to thrive.

For those who have low household income, are supported by the Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) or receive Ontario Works (OW) – the Pregnancy Centre would like to supply you with a monthly Care Package of diapers, wipes, and formula. You don’t have to do this alone; we want to help. Contact the Centre to register.

Formula: Many families in Waterloo Region experience food insecurity. While breast-feeding is always promoted as a healthy option, many women lack the support needed to breastfeed. Formula is expensive and many families worry about having enough for their babies.  This results in making decisions about formula choices, preparation, and amounts that are not ideal or safe for their babies. With a Care Package, families are given a container of formula that best suits their childs dietary needs.  This reduces the stress of having enough and provides an opportunity for adequate nutrition for their children.
