The Pregnancy Centre is here to offer support for anyone experiencing an unplanned pregnancy. Our services are designed to help those in need and are free of charge. Below you will find a description of our most common services and programs but please feel free to contact us if you have a question about something that is not listed here – we’re here for you!


pregnancy test

A free and confidential appointment with a trained Support Worker. Laboratory quality urine tests are capable of detecting pregnancy as early as one day after your missed period. Results are available in three minutes.

options counselling

A free and confidential appointment with a trained Support Worker. We encourage you to take the time to be informed. Information provided on adoption, abortion and parenting. Tools to support healthy decision making available. Support is given so that clients are able to make an informed decision, one that is best for them. Regardless of your choice, we offer you ongoing support.

A free and confidential appointment with a trained Support Worker to determine which of our services would best meet a client’s needs. Services include; group and individual education, support groups, professional counselling, care closet and community referrals.

early pregnancy/prenatal


A free one-on-one session that focuses on healthy nutrition and habits during pregnancy, what to expect, and what to avoid. Pregnancy resources given to each client. Contact us to book your session in either Kitchener or Fergus


Four free classes that cover the topics of labour, delivery and your newborn. Sessions run Thursdays from 1 – 3 pm. Our next session begins January 23, 2019. Register with us for this class in either Kitchener or Fergus.


mom to mom program

WEDNESDAYS 10:00 AM – noon // SEPT – MAY

A free weekly single mom support group that focuses on education, mentorship and community development. Our 6 education modules include; goal setting, parenting, health/nutrition, self-care, healthy relationships and financial literacy. Each client is paired with a mentor for on-going support. post-abortion support

A free 7-week group that provides a safe, non-judgemental and confidential environment to express and work through emotions associated with your abortion. Peer support is a large component of this program.

referrals & resources

At The Pregnancy Centre, we are familiar with many community resources available to women facing an unexpected pregnancy in both Kitchener and Fergus. We can help you identify your specific needs and work with you to access the resources that will allow you to take your next steps during and after your pregnancy. 

Services such as medical care, adoption, insurance, employment resources, education, housing, etc.  Assistance in exploring spiritual issues is available when requested.

care closet

We provide gently used baby clothing for newborns to size 2, baby equipment and diapers to our clients. No appointment is necessary, however for your first visit, a short intake appointment will be required.

KITCHENER HOURS: Monday to Thursday 9 am – 4 pm
FERGUS HOURS: Monday noon – 6 pm  //  Tuesday 11 am – 4 pm // Thursday 11 am – 4 pm
