At The Pregnancy Centre we have caring staff ready to listen and provide the support you may need. We are not a medical clinic, however, we have learned much about the issues you are facing and we are here to help. Find out a bit more about each of our staff members below…
COMMUNITY EDUCATION DIRECTOR
Katrina has a passion for education! She has a thorough knowledge of sexual and reproductive health and has experience teaching Physical Education. She is a strong and engaging communicator, as well as approachable. Katrina enjoys speaking to students in both large and small group settings.
“I have seen how sexual and relationship decisions can affect the physical and emotional health of youth and am thankful for the opportunity to work with students – to challenge them and to be challenged by them.”
Maureen’s passion is to gather a team of people, to see them work out of their strengths and giftedness and to engage and empower them to accomplish The Pregnancy Centre’s vision and mission. Maureen joined The Pregnancy Centre in 2008 and has a MA in Leadership.
“I have always had a heart for women facing an unexpected pregnancy. My mother was a single mom and alone when I was born. I understand the life-changing decisions and difficult struggles she and others like her face; I know how important it is to have someone to talk with.”

Jenn was a volunteer here prior to joining the staff team in early 2016. She overseas all of our amazing volunteers and heads up the various programs we run for our clients including our ‘Prenatal Classes’ and ‘Mom to Mom’. Jenn is currently studying social development at U of W.

Amanda PaveyAmanda is currently on maternity leave.
CENTRE DIRECTOR // Centre Wellington
We now have a satellite site in downtown Fergus, and Shadia is our new Centre Director there. She wants to be a strong presence in her home town for the women and families needing support.
“Because of my own personal story, I understand how support is critical when making a decision. I am honoured to help provide a space where women can come and be heard, respected and valued.”

Amy is responsible for our ‘look’… whether it’s the website, social media, or the posters and flyers you see out in the community.
