About Us

At The Pregnancy Centre we have caring staff ready to listen and provide the support you may need. We are not a medical clinic, however, we have learned much about the issues you are facing and we are here to help. Find out a bit more about each of our staff members below…

Katrina Davidson

Katrina Davidson

Katrina has a passion for education! She has a thorough knowledge of sexual and reproductive health and has experience teaching Physical Education. She is a strong and engaging communicator, as well as approachable. Katrina enjoys speaking to students in both large and small group settings.

“I have seen how sexual and relationship decisions can affect the physical and emotional health of youth and am thankful for the opportunity to work with students – to challenge them and to be challenged by them.”

Maureen Dinner

Maureen Dinner

Maureen’s passion is to gather a team of people, to see them work out of their strengths and giftedness and to engage and empower them to accomplish The Pregnancy Centre’s vision and mission. Maureen joined The Pregnancy Centre in 2008 and has a MA in Leadership.

“I have always had a heart for women facing an unexpected pregnancy. My mother was a single mom and alone when I was born. I understand the life-changing decisions and difficult struggles she and others like her face; I know how important it is to have someone to talk with.”

Jenn Holbrook

Jenn Holbrook

Jenn was a volunteer here prior to joining the staff team in early 2016. She overseas all of our amazing volunteers and heads up the various programs we run for our clients including our ‘Prenatal Classes’ and ‘Mom to Mom’. Jenn is currently studying social development at U of W.

“Despite the challenges that they face, I want our moms to know that they are loved and can grow to become strong and courageous women. It is one of my favourite things to know these women…”

Amanda Pavey

Amanda Pavey

Amanda has been on staff for the last 5 years and has recently changed roles and now gives oversight to administration and donor development. She is excited about the new ideas and plans we have for engaging more with our donors and supporters.

(still waiting for a quote from this lovely lady!)

Shadia Staebler

Shadia Staebler

CENTRE DIRECTOR // Centre Wellington

We now have a satellite site in downtown Fergus, and Shadia is our new Centre Director there. She wants to be a strong presence in her home town for the women and families needing support.

“Because of my own personal story, I understand how support is critical when making a decision. I am honoured to help provide a space where women can come and be heard, respected and valued.”

Amy Wilson

Amy Wilson

Amy is responsible for our ‘look’… whether it’s the website, social media, or the posters and flyers you see out in the community.

“I love taking the wise and compassionate ideas of our team, and making them into pieces of art.”

We couldn't do it without you...

Working alongside our staff is a valuable group of trained and committed volunteers. They serve in the following capacities: support workers, mentor moms, group facilitators, child care workers, Care Closet coordinator and administrative support workers. Each person volunteers their time because they believe strongly in the positive work being done at The Pregnancy Centre.

I want to volunteer!
